Ria & Roofus:

I have been a dog lover since I was a child. My sisters and I would spend hours "training" our Shih Tzu Clyde. I would read every dog book I could get my hands on...pre Google ;)

So, the first thing I did when I moved away from home was adopt my dog Roofus, a Husky Akita Pug mix. Together we spent twelve years, lived in four homes and were inseparable. He was tough! He had the Husky spirit of escape (once he even chewed through a door to get downstairs!) but we trained and we worked it out. I was dedicated to him. He was just as loyal to me. Roofus lived up to his Akita ancestry and would sit and wait at the window until I came home every day. It didn't matter if other people came home, he waited just for me. Like all dogs, he wasn't here even close to long enough.

Roofus came to me at just five weeks old and stayed as long as he could. Now, we will help as many dogs as we can with as much loyalty and dedication he gave to me.
